NAVAJEEVAN BALA BHAVAN

Homelink Network

Homelink is a web-based service developed and managed by the Don Bosco YaR Forum to support their work with youth at risk. It facilitates the maintenance and sharing of up-to-date information on child-related issues of a given CCI nationwide. Initially, the system required daily uploads of child details to a centralized server in Delhi, often causing delays until late in the evening for updates to process. This was later improved with a desktop version that allowed direct data entry into a local database. Eventually, a web application was launched, which remains in use today.

The system, known as ChildMISS (Child Management Information System & Services), is an advanced documentation and reporting tool tailored to the needs of organizations working with vulnerable children. It empowers users to generate instant and comprehensive reports covering various aspects such as child profiles, details of missing children, and insights into the operations of staff centers and sub-centers. These reports provide detailed analyses that are invaluable for decision-making and intervention planning, both at local and national levels.

Currently, Navajeevan Bala Bhavan Society utilizes this robust system to meticulously document the children in its Child Care Institutions (CCIs). By leveraging the capabilities of ChildMISS, NJBB ensures that every child’s details—such as personal history, educational background, health status, and ongoing needs in the form of services—are accurately recorded and readily accessible. This system not only streamlines case management but also enhances accountability and transparency, supporting the organization’s commitment to safeguarding and empowering the children in its care.

ChildMISS plays a pivotal role in enabling NJBB and similar organizations to respond promptly to emerging challenges while upholding high standards of child welfare and protection.

The latest version, Homelink DIGI, introduces advanced features to enhance functionality and efficiency, including AI-powered facial recognition and Power BI integration for advanced reporting.
