The meeting started with a Heart touching short film on “Faith in Man”. It depicts the sincerity of a beggar who gives in life in saving the shop from burglary. Fr. Pradeep, the Director shared that at times people will not understand or notice the sincerity but as an individual everyone should be faithful in their work.
The CD “WE BLOOM” a short English film on Moggas was released by the Directors, Fr. Balashowry, Fr. Pradeep and Fr. Jose and the Care Mother Mrs. L. Mary. After the release of the CD, it was played on the screen for the staff. Fr. Pradeep and Br. Robin were very much appreciated for bring out the daily life of children at Moggas.
Mrs. Grace a social worker gave a reflection talk on “Love of Neighbor”, Faith & Forgiveness. She shared her work experience with Navajeevan children which helped her to work with the people in need. She said to have hope that every child would change and pray for the wisdom. Also to feel satisfied with the work, strengthen team work and work with heart. She also enlightened the love and forgiveness as the Jesus Christ had for the people. Mrs. Grace was felicitated by Fr. Balashowry.
Mr. G. Shekar Babu shared a brief report on celebrations of Women’s Day on March 8, 2017. It was celebrated at Navajeevan Bala Bhavan with great love and appreciation for the WOMEN staff. Deep from the heart it was shared WOMAN: YOU ARE THE ESSENCE of Navajeevan Bala Bhavan. The afternoon was celebrated with the inspirational messages by Smt. G. Rajeswari, Women Entrepreneur and Smt. Padma, Sub Editor. It was an important occasion for all of us to pause for a moment to reflect on ourselves, to appreciate how much has been done and what more needs to be done in the field of gender equality. Moreover, it was the day to acknowledge all the men and women in the world for making this world a better place for everyone to live in. Dance by the women staff and the volunteers made the day more fun filled with joy followed by the sharing of women staff of their experience at Navajeevan Bala Bhavan.
Mrs. Ch. Prasanna Kumari sheared a brief report on the meet of Participatory Action Research (PAR). She shared that 2nd Annual seminar on PaR was organised by Don Bosco YaR at Don Bosco Provincial House from March 27 to 30, 2017. A team of 5 from Navajeevan Bala Bhavan attended the seminar. 22 PaR research co-ordinators from 16 centers and 9 cities and 6 states attended the seminar. The PaR moved towards child friendly and child directed issues. PaR methodology, steps, PaR cycling process and practice of PaR in our daily life was shared. Adding to that Mr. G. Shekar Babu shared the abstract, process of solving issues, analysis, action plan, implementation, monitoring, findings, conclusions, success indicators, goal and way forward for the PaR.
Mr. Ch. Rajkumar, Administrator introduced and welcomed the new team Mr. Y. Anil Kumar, Resource Mobiliser , Mr. V. Thomas & Mrs. V. Sarla, the gardeners from Chiguru. Also Br. Mahesh who shall be with Navajeevan up to June.
The reports of different departments were shared. It was suggested to start SUGGESTION BOX at shelter. Extend the field of street presence team. With regard to the group of volunteers coming to work at shelter, it was suggested to inform Fr. Balashowry or Fr. Pradeep as the volunteers should go through desk with proper information and also know the activities of Navajeevan Bala Bhavan in advance. The working of different councils at Navajeevan and the maintenance of leave card was shared by HR Desk. The medical camp conducted for the staff was shared.
