Be the Best Version of YOU (Career Guidance)

On 6th April-2017 Navajeevan Bala Bhavan organized an awareness programme on CAREER GUIDANCE “(BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU)” for 80 students of 10th, Inter and Degree at Navajeevan Yuva Bhavan, Vijayawada.

 

Fr. S. Balashowry, Executive Director, Fr. Y. Pradeep, Director of Education and Mr. Krishna Prasad, Project manager was present for the occasion along with the team members of Formal Education Department, NJBB.

 

Mr. T. David Johnson, Asst. Professor in Computers, KBN College, Vijayawada was the resource person for this programme. Meeting started with an introductory speech by Fr. Pradeep, he said in this world where ever we go and whatever we do Knowledge and science are very essential. Everyone needs money and another term for money in English is Cash. But the cash we need starts with K. which means

 

K         – Knowledge

A         – Attitude

S          – Satisfaction

H         – Human Relations and this KASH help for our survival

 

Speaking on this occasion Fr. Balashowry said that students will be in confusion to establish their goals at this stage but if they are given proper awareness and guidance they can decide or can set their goals for future.


Project manager Mr. Krishna Prasad explained that we have to overcome our fears and weakness with the support of our strengths and awareness.

 

Mr. T. David Johnson, Asst. Professor in Computers, KBN College was introduced by Mr. Kamal Kumar and Mr. David started his session with explaining a word WINPAD.

 

W        - Will Power

I           - Integration

N         - Natural

P          - Planning (Positive Attitude)

A         - Awareness (Achievement)

D         - Discipline (Determination)

 

Every student must have WINPAD to get success in whatever they do. He said that only way to get success is through hard work and there are no shortcuts to it. He displayed and explained through power point presentation the options available after 10th like MPC, Bi.PC, MEC, HEC, vocational courses (professional) and similarly Polytechnic, ITI, Para-medical, engineering, diploma courses, certificate courses. Similarly intermediate can be followed by degree, technical, medical, engineering, diploma courses, certificate courses and job opportunities in various establishments thereafter.

 

At the end he advised the students to make most use of the available opportunities omitting their suspicions and take good decision for their better future. Programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Ch. Vani followed by a delicious lunch.
